"We wanted one product that did the wedding website and the photo capture. It didn't exist, so we built it."
Fizz started with a simple frustration: every couple we knew was juggling a free wedding website, a separate photo-sharing app, a WhatsApp group for RSVPs, and a Google Drive link nobody ever opened. We thought there had to be a better way.
Why we started Fizz
We went to a wedding where the couple had put disposable cameras on every table. It was a lovely idea, but half the cameras went missing, a quarter came back with blurry photos, and it took three months to get them developed. The good shots ended up scattered across Facebook, iMessage threads, and one uncle's Dropbox.
Meanwhile, the couple's wedding website was on one platform, their photo requests were on another, and the guest book was a physical notebook that got wine-stained during the speeches. Three apps, two logins, one stressed bride.
We thought: what if the wedding page, the guest gallery, the guest book, and the social sharing all lived in one place? What if guests could snap a photo and it just appeared? That's Fizz. One product, no juggling, no missing cameras.
How we got here
The disposable camera moment
We watched 200 wedding photos get lost to dead batteries, blurry lenses, and a missing camera bag. There had to be a better version of this.
The research
We looked at every wedding website builder and every photo-capture app on the market. Good websites were free but ad-supported. Good photo apps were separate purchases. Nobody combined both.
Building Fizz
We started with the wedding page, added the guest gallery and guest book, then built the companion app so guests could capture and share from their phones without leaving the party.
Where we are now
Fizz is live. Couples build their wedding page, share it with guests, and watch photos, videos, and messages arrive throughout the day. The companion app is on the way.
