Delete your account
You can remove your Fizz Wedding account and the information held with it at any time. You do not need the app installed to ask.
Three ways to do it
All three reach the same place. Pick whichever is easiest.
In the app
Open the Fizz Wedding app and go to Settings, then Delete account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm, so it cannot happen by accident.
On this website
Sign in and go to your account page, where the same option is available.
By email, without signing in
If you have lost access to your account, or you would simply rather ask a person, email privacy@fizz.wedding. Send it from the address you signed up with if you can, as it helps us find you. We may need to ask a question or two to confirm the account is yours before we delete anything.
What gets removed
It depends on which kind of account you have.
If you are a guest at someone's wedding
Your guest account, along with your posts, photos, videos, voice toasts, comments and reactions, is removed from that wedding page.
If you are a couple hosting a wedding
Your account, every wedding page you created, every guest you invited, and all of the posts, photos and messages on those pages are removed. This affects your guests as well as you, so it is worth being certain.
How long it takes, and what we have to keep
Deletion from the live service is immediate. Backups roll off on their own cycle, so a copy may persist there briefly before it is overwritten.
A small amount of information has to stay. Records of payments are kept for as long as tax and company law requires, and we may keep a minimal note that an account was deleted so that we can show we honoured the request. We do not keep your photos, messages or guest book content.
The full detail is in our Privacy Policy, under Data Retention.
If you only want to cancel
Deleting your account is permanent and takes your wedding page down with it. If you only want to stop paying, cancel the subscription from your account page instead. Your page stays up for the remainder of the period you have paid for.
