This policy complies with UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and international privacy regulations. We've designed our approach to respect both your privacy and the personal nature of wedding content.

The guest session token does include your name and email address, so that the wedding page knows who you are; it is signed, sent only to our servers, and cannot be read by other sites.

We also keep a few things in your browser's local storage, which works much like a cookie and stays on your device: a draft of a post you are writing (for 7 days), whether you have seen a tour or a checklist, which cards you opened, your currency and region, and, if you accept analytics cookies, an analytics session id.

- • cookieyes-consent - Stores your cookie choices from the CookieYes banner (kept for 1 year)
- • __stripe_mid / __stripe_sid - Set by Stripe when you reach the checkout, to process your payment and detect fraudulent activity. Only set once you start a Wedding Pass, never on ordinary browsing.
- • currency - Remembers which currency to show prices in. Set from your location on your first visit and kept for 1 year. Without it we cannot show you the right prices.
- • locale - Remembers which regional version of the site to show you (the UK site or the international site). Set from your location on your first visit and kept for 1 year. Without it we cannot show you the site you asked for.
- • guest_device_* - Remembers that this browser has signed in as a guest, so a returning guest does not need a new emailed code (kept for 1 year)
- • fizz_pass_nonce - Links your browser to the Wedding Pass checkout you started, so only you see its confirmation page (kept for 24 hours)

Preference Cookies
We set one optional preference cookie, demoTheme, which remembers the colour theme you tried on the demo wedding page for 30 days. It holds a theme name and nothing else. The two cookies that remember your currency and your regional version of the site are listed above as strictly necessary, because without them we cannot deliver the localised site you asked for, and they are set the moment you arrive. They record a currency and a region and nothing else. Analytics cookies are a separate matter and are covered in their own section below; those always require your consent.

Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how our wedding services are used and to improve them. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics sets these cookies: _ga - tells one browser from another with a random id (kept for up to 400 days) _ga_* - keeps track of a visit and the pages in it (kept for up to 400 days) They help us count page views, see how many visitors go on to buy a Wedding Pass, follow how people move through the site, and see whether our help centre answers their questions. Google Analytics identifies your browser with a random id so that it can count unique visitors. We do not send it your name or email, we look at the data in aggregate, and we do not use it for advertising. Google keeps event data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months, then deletes it. Your consent is required for analytics cookies. You can refuse them, or change your mind at any time in our cookie preferences, without affecting how wedding pages work. One thing does not depend on your cookie choice. When a Wedding Pass is bought, our server tells Google Analytics that a sale happened and for how much. Nothing is read from or stored on your device for this, so no cookie is involved. The message carries a random number and a coded order reference. Google cannot use it to identify you. We could link the order reference back to the purchase, so we treat it as personal data. Our Privacy Policy explains this.
Marketing Cookies
We use one advertising cookie, and only if you accept advertising cookies in our cookie banner: _pin_unauth, set by Pinterest and kept for 1 year. It lets Pinterest tell us when someone who saw our Pinterest content visits our site. We do not share your name or email with Pinterest, and we do not sell your information. If you refuse advertising cookies, the Pinterest tag does not load.
